Random Fact #1

My husbands family originally owned
a photography business.

Portrait sessions can be very exciting and somewhat overwhelming.
My goal as your photographer is to make this one aspect of the process simple. Photography is more than just images, it is a real part of your life and your memories. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, but an amazing photographic experience. When my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera it results in GENUINE & JOYFUL images. One way I ensure my clients enjoy the BEST photographic experience is by forming a relationship with you. I try my best to make sure every one of my clients is the perfect fit for me before booking. A client should connect with their photographer, trust them and be EXCITED about the whole process with them! After booking, we will have a session consult to discuss details and get to know more about one another. By the time the session day arrives, you will be ready to rock it!

I am more than willing to travel for portrait sessions! I actually love it when clients ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them. I have been:
- To the beach & mountains.
- In a every field of every type... cotton field, wheat field, a field.
- In the woods.
- By the lake or river.
- Side of the road in some really pretty flowers.

You can make cookies with your family, snuggle on the sofa, play mini golf. Don't be afraid to explore & dream a little. You name it, let's do it!

I love delivering my clients files quickly and easily via an online gallery. You will have the ability to select your favorite 20 images to print, share and download. Typically you will get an additional folder in your gallery that says 'Sam's Favorites', these files are the BEST of the BEST from the session and are already sized for easy sharing on social media!  I believe in freely sharing my work because that is what I would want!

The BEST way to get all your photos into one place quickly after the session is with a custom ALBUM!
These albums are not your grandmas keepsakes. They are bound in linen or leather covers with your favorite images from the session. The pages are thick and fingerprint resistant and digitally printed. Meaning the images are printed directly on the page like a book, so you won't have to worry about anything falling out or a small baby ripping the pages. You will adore spending time with your babies and reliving the memories all over again for YEARS to come!

classic outfits that withstand the test of time

Laides, wear something that you feel confident in and flatters the parts that you love. If you look in the mirror and don't feel comfortable, it's not the outfit for you. You shouldn't have to suck it in or only like the way you look from one angle. I know you will love your portraits so much more when you are not worried about how your clothes fit. Solid colors are best, keep it neutral with with blush, cream, grey, light blues and tans. Softer colors photograph really well together and result in a more light and airy look.

For the Littles

Coordinate your kids outfits with yours instead of matching! I LOVE color, but avoid using super bright, neon colors in your outfits. Neon colors reflect a lot of light and generally put color casts on the clothes and skin of the person next to you when photographed.  I do not recommend wearing white as a top as it does not allow for any contrast in your images.

I am more than happy to help you go through what you have to pull outfits together for your session. Do not hesitate to email me and ask for advice. Planning your wardrobe does not have to be stressful. You can find more tips for how to choose your outfits on the blog.

Fantastic! To reserve your portrait date, we’ll need a completed contract and a $50 non-refundable retainer. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let me know and I’ll send one over! The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before the session.

Galleries typically include anywhere between 30 to 40 photos. The exact amount varies from session to session. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere. You’re also welcome to share your photos on social media. Don't forget to credit your favorite photographer by linking your post to @srambophoto on social media or website: samantharambo.com.

Should the weather decide to not cooperate, I will try to let you know the night before if we will need to reschedule the session for another date. If for some reason you cannot reschedule and need to move forward with the session, I recommend an in home session or even change the location of the session to somewhere else. Sometimes if we travel within an hour or so we can find great weather and not need to reschedule the session.

Thank you so much for considering me to be a part of this season in your life! If you are interested in working with me, the next step is to send over a proposal and set up a time for your session consultation! You can reach me directly at sam@samantharambo.com.

I cannot wait to meet you!
